Class B Passenger Bus

ABQ - Commercial Class B Passenger Bus Driver Training

with NNCT Instructor

Calendar Nov 30, 2020 at 10 am, runs for 3 weeks

The primary objective of this certificate program is to prepare students with the necessary skills to handle a commercial passenger bus vehicle in a safe and professional manner sufficiently to pass a state skills exam and become a licensed commercial driver. This objective will be met by providing a solid curriculum that includes hands-on and driving experience. Course content is a combination of classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction. Students will receive up to 80 hours of combined classroom, lab, range, road, and highway driver training.

Applicants for this training program must possess a valid driver's license (or a valid driver's license from your official state of residence) that you have held for the period of one year with an acceptable driving record (MVR). Applicants must also pass a DOT physical exam by an approved medical examiner and provide a copy of the results to the School.  

The following Endorsement is included free with tuition, only if applicable:

Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Endorsement

Students are advised that the costs of the MVD Written Exam(s), State Administered Skills & Road Test Exam, and DOT Physical Exam are included with the tuition paid to the School and are NON REFUNDABLE.

The fee for the TSA Screening* is the sole responsibility of the student and is not included with the tuition paid to the School.*Only applicable if student is taking the free Hazardous Materials Endorsement class. 

This course design is three (3) weeks, three (3) days per week. Each student can expect at least 30 hours minimum behind the wheel (BTW) driving time during range, road, and highway driving.

TRAINING HOURS - Monday through Wednesday from 10am to 3pm. "Special Scheduling" of off days, evening and weekend class sessions are subject to approval and availability of instructor and/or resources.  

DORM STUDENT TRAINING HOURS - In addition to the normal scheduled hours, dorm students who stay on campus throughout their training will have a revised schedule allowing them to train through the "Special Scheduling" provisions and are subject to approval by the Operations Manager.
